Overview
A closed-off kitchen was reworked into an open, light-filled room at the center of everyday family life.
The Challenge
Dark cabinetry, a cramped layout, and a wall separating the kitchen from the rest of the home made it hard to cook, gather, or entertain.
Andrea's Design Response
The layout was opened toward the living space, the window wall was enlarged, and a generous island was introduced to give the family one place to gather.
